With more than 17 years of experience in design, including a background in jewelry and product design, my practice moves between conceptual exploration and hands-on making. I am interested in how objects, images, spaces, and materials can communicate ideas, evoke emotions, and create meaningful experiences.

In my design practice, I begin with people, their needs, behaviors, experiences, and everyday challenges. I approach design through observation and research, looking for opportunities to transform problems into thoughtful, functional, and innovative solutions. Material exploration and sustainability are also important considerations in my process.

My fine art practice provides a different space for exploration. Through drawing, painting, animation, installation, and performance, I investigate personal experience, identity, emotion, memory, and cultural references, often using symbolism and experimentation to express ideas that are difficult to communicate through words alone.

As an educator, I bring this combination of creative exploration, technical knowledge, and problem-solving into the classroom. I encourage students to observe carefully, experiment with materials and processes, develop their technical skills, and discover their own visual language.

Across all of my work, I am interested in the relationship between people, ideas, materials, and experiences, and in creating work that is both thoughtful and meaningful.
